    Nigel has been with Merebrook since 1998 and has been MD since 2006. His early career was in electronic engineering R&D in the defence industry, but he re-qualified and moved into environmental consultancy in the early 90s. He now has over 20 years experience in all aspects of engineering environmental consultancy. In 2008, he led Merebrook in our integration with the Idom Group of companies. His key objective now is to lead the company forward in the development of existing and new services to clients in the UK market.

    Simon’s career began in the Met Office where he worked within the Geophysical Fluid Dynamics Group, designing and constructing laboratory scale experiments in atmospheric flow. Later he worked in the field of environmental monitoring, developing and testing sensors for use in automatic stations in remote environments. He has used his scientific experience to great effect in environmental consultancy and now has almost 20 years experience. He has contributed to a number of industry and government task force initiatives on waste regulation and contaminated land assessment.

    Mark has worked in the construction industry since 1978, initially as a structural steelwork draftsman detailing commercial and industrial buildings. After completing his degree in 1985 he joined the management team of British Coal and became responsible for design, detailing, contract procurement and management of civil engineering construction works for opencast coal developments in South Wales up until 2000. He then joined the infrastructure development team of Scott Wilson Kirkpatrick in Chesterfield and in 2002 joined Merebrook as an Associate, taking responsibility for structural and civil engineering design and contract works. Mark has also acted as an expert witness and continues to provide specialised support for Contractors and Developers in the Coal Industry.

    Robin is responsible for the development of Idom/Merebrook’s nuclear services business in the UK. He joined Merebrook in 1998 and set up our South-eastern office in 1999 where he used his environmental diagnostics qualifications to manage a variety of projects on redundant industrial, commercial and defence sites. As a director of Merebrook he was a keen promoter of our integration in the Idom Group and in 2010 went to Madrid for a period of time to undertake an extended introductory course in nuclear power before taking up his current post.

    Rob first joined Merebrook in 2003 and is currently responsible for the management of our contaminated land teams in Derbyshire and Kent. Based in our Kent office, his particular expertise is in quantitative groundwater risk assessment and remedial design. He has managed aspects of geo-environmental due diligence, site investigation, risk assessment, remedial design and completion reporting, including a number of substantial Part IIa site remediation projects.

    David leads our North West office. Chartered since 1994, he has worked on many major projects in the region in both the public and private sectors, involving site remediation, infrastructure design, construction and heavy civils projects. Since joining Merebrook in 2009, he has administered the construction of a large transportation project in Eastern Europe and has been Area Construction Manager on Partington Paper Mill. His focus now is on the development of our office in Manchester.

    A civil engineer with almost 40 years experience working on civil engineering and construction projects in both the public and private sectors, including design and construction supervision of reclamation and remediation of brownfield sites, housing and commercial developments, transportation, highways and drainage infrastructure projects in the UK and Europe. Kevin has also been involved in the provision of expert advice and witness evidence in connection with a number of contractual claims, involving mediation/arbitration, adjudication and litigation.

    Notable projects have included, Carsington Reservoir, the Channel Tunnel Rail Link, Toyota Car Plant at Burnaston, Derby, Midland Quarry Reclamation Project, Nuneaton, Libya Universities Programme, the Arad Urban Transport Project, Romania, and the extension/refurbishment of a number of packaging plants in the UK. Kevin joined Merebrook in 1998.

    Huw began his career in Local Government working on all aspects of highway planning, design and construction supervision. He then moved to the private consulting sector working on major highway projects specialising in the structural design of road, rail and tramway structures. He has over 25 years experience in the civil engineering field and has recently acted as project director on highway schemes, engineering packages for oil processing plants and has worked on power station design, infrastructure design, and acted as CDM Coordinator on various projects.

    Eleanor began her career in 1999 with Merebrook. During her time with the company she successfully trained to become a qualified accountant, rising to become Finance Manager in 2006, and Head of Finance in 2012. As well as Finance, Eleanor is responsible for all aspects of the administration of the company and has been Company Secretary since 2005.
