IDOM provided an earthworks specification and a material management plan for the import of subsoil fill to site. The site was being raised by a couple of metres across most of the site, therefore the correct material and placement of it was paramount to the project. Geotechnical testing and analysis was undertaken using CBR plate, Nuclear Density and Hand Shear Vane testing to achieve this. Environmental testing for contaminants and asbestos of the imported material was done periodically in line with the specification. We acted as the client’s on-site representation and provided validation for the specification carried out.
